The energy, focus and poise of a dancer is breathtaking to witness. Watching them enter a pose that seamlessly lengthens their limbs, creates an aura of grace and expresses an underlying emotion is humbling to witness … to record the moment is a privilege. These dancers all require professional images for their portfolios; a good dance portfolio can shape a dancer’s entire career. It’s important to capture the dancer at the tip of extension, showing the move at it’s extreme as good photographs can mean the difference between being called to audition for a part, or not. In addition to the physical, images capture the feeling of dance, the sentiment being radiated; the emotions of joy, serenity, reflection … emitted through dance.
